When Triton High School produced the" Wizard of Oz" (MUNY version), we could not build a cauldron big enough, so this is how we solved the problem.

  • Why are they dressed up as ghosts?

  • In the MUNY version, the three dress up as ghosts (who are helping the Wicked Witch).

  • That's the point of the MUNY version--cornball stuff--not like the movie at all but closer to the book. It was written to have the witch disappear into a giant cauldron (obviously big enough to fit a person in). The trick here was to make her go into the throne (previously sat upon). The corny acting matches the corny script.

  • And just wondering, what were they saying the beginning because all I could remember was the lines "hot in too much air conditioning"

  • @ironwoodbooks So, is this part of their plan to save Dorothy from the witch and escape?
