Lucario's search for Soul Edge takes him from the Afterlife to the Netherealm, where he encounters Scorpion on a quest for the same sword. Scorpion quickly learns that Lucario is searching for Soul Edge as well. Believing that the blade will provide him with the ability to rescue his son from the Netherealm, Scorpion realizes that he must defeat Lucario in order to ensure that the weapon becomes his. Epicness ensues.
