I Need You - A Cover By THE DEFINITE MAYBES

We would like to start off the new year with a great song from one of the biggest top 40 bands from the early 70s, America. The song is "I Need You" and is from their very first album. This album featured another song that was also a big hit called "A Horse With No Name" which sounded so much like CSN&Y many people thought it was them at first, including me. This similarity in sound to CSN&Y was both a strength and weakness for America. They were regarded by many as CSN&Y lite, which to be honest had some validity. But nonetheless they gave us many great songs that are still being played and appreciated today, and In fact as far has hit singles go, their track record was better than CSNY, so go figure :o)
