for the time it came out, it's quite an honest song - divorced dad gets to see his son one day a week 'by law' while the ex waits inside till he's gone - doesn't pull any punches, but wrapped up in such a sweet tune

My dad never spent Sunday with me, and when my parents divorced he did NOT want to see me, so you guys who did get your dad on synday when it didn't seem enough at least you had 1 day I NEVER got one...
