Pedal power is one option, when you get rid of cars in inner cities. Bicycles can go well over 90km an hour now. Watch

    .

One Hour World Record - Francesco Russo & Eiviestretto - 91,556km (by Damjan Zabovnik)

    .

Mumbai needs proper public transport, but India is would seem preoccupied with a space program and military to bother about trying to save the planet.

Its a pity you don't seem to like comments on your channel. Otherwise I would have commented there

Mercury is found in many rocks including coal.

When coal is burned, mercury is released into the environment. Coal-burning power plants are the largest human-caused source of mercury emissions to the air in the United States, accounting for over 50 percent of all domestic human-caused mercury emissions.

    .

So burning coal for energy would seem to be madness, but do we hear about that through our media ???

Not where I live (I just googled that find out)

The US has 30,000 troops in Saudi Arabia to ensure that US citizens can enjoy cheap oil in the US.

    .

US cars can be inefficient as gas is cheap (apparently about 1/4 of the price in Europe)

and US citizens don't pay tax on carbon emissions as far as I know,

and there are plenty of people who can afford to drive in the US.

    .

Japanese are experts in high quality manufacturing.

  • @HumanRightsVideosT they are experts in small cars because japan has no space at all. their american models are little bigger than its asian counter parts.

  • @eastern2western

Japanese firms like Toyota are probably the masters of building small and medium sized cars.

    .

I could start talking about Toyota having enough $ for F1 racing, but that might be slightly off topic...

  • @HumanRightsVideosT firms do not make compact cars because there is no profit in small cars.

  • @eastern2western

When you have troops in Saudi Arabia making sure you have cheap oil,

    all sorts of distortions happen.

Apparently one major US car firm doesn't bother to make compact cars.

  • @HumanRightsVideosT however, a lot of americans live about at least 30 minutes away from where they work and driving is part of the life. yes, majority of americans are obese, but part of it is also due to the life style too because anyone can exercise in any area.

  • @ eastern2western

In the US they don't have footpaths in some places, notably outside Disneyland.

    .

Given the number of overweight people in the US maybe they should think about getting on a bike.

  • @HumanRightsVideosT biking great exercise, green and cheap. however, it has its limitations (especifically for americans). I completelly agree with u.

  • @ eastern2western

In cities most of the time there aren't 4 people in cars. One person normally commutes by himself.

    .

Tandems go faster than bikes with one rider. 2 tandems = 4 people

    .

You can attach a trailer with pedals for children, so they can contribute to the effort.

1 tandem and trailer = 3 people (no problem with a 1 child policy, more of a problem in India...)

  • I have to disagree with the glass comment. My dad lived through the cultural revolution with glasses and relatives in usa, nothing happened to him because he just kept his mouth sut. However, his friend was very political and he was putted into jail during the revolution. basically, cultural revolution was a pure political cleansing.
