Nebraska is unique; our public power system means that the wind energy development models that work in other states dont apply as well to Nebraska. In 2007 the Nebraska Legislature passed the Rural Community-Based Energy Development (C-BED) Act to ensure that Nebraska can build wind and that Nebraskans are the ones who benefit. At this crucial time for energy, the public and policymakers are invited to learn more about Community-Based Energy Development because its how Nebraska builds wind.

Dan Juhl, Chairman and CEO of Juhl Wind Inc., is considered to be one of the nations leading experts on wind technology and community owned renewable distributive generation. He has been instrumental in helping to form public policy by working with legislators and regulators on the workings and benefits of utilizing renewables in the energy mix.
