I think they prevented the prince from dying in this game, because as far as I've experienced, dying in Sands of Time and Warrior Within was very annoying. You had to repeat the same thing over and over, possibly going through unskippable cutscenes too. This solution may not be the best, however, because it makes it rather safe.

@blueblurr99 Not really. You are correct that present day Persia (IRAN) now is a muslim country (every since the late 1970's when they over-threw the shaw), but back then they were Zoroastrian. And some of the names (the bad guys in this game) are actual names from this religion that was created before Islam and Chrisianity.

I wish the movie would have been based on the storyline from this game instead of the sands of time. This storyline is better based on actual acient Persian religion and more true to the storline from the 1989 game where the Prince isn't really a Prince and has no name. In the movie he is the son of a King and has a brother.
