A few days before Christmas all over town stands like this pop up with people selling carp all day in the freezing cold. It is the traditional Christmas meal here in the Czech Republic. The really tradition was to get a live carp and keep it in the bathtub until Christmas day (Dec 24th here), but now most of the time people get it cut up at the stall. They can't really pack up at night, so guys just sleep in their car by the fish pools to make sure no one steals all the fish.
