Thus begins the long and arduous process of documenting all of my 'Orbinated' Periphery drum parts. By the way, the Periphery guys dubbed that term; I still say it, although I feel a tad silly in doing so, hah. This is one of the first tunes that I ever modified and it features a sensational performance by the band's first vocalist, Jake Veredika. "The Fast Ones" is now defunct and will never be released for various reasons.

After not rehearsing this tune for the better part of two years I had to re-chart everything and re-work the motions (I spruced some stuff up). To my surprise, I did a pretty decent job in one take. This is the best camera angle I could obtain. The stack cymbal that's needed in my setup to perform the parts consequently raises the height of my music stand (which is necessary, since this tune feels 'fresh' again). Next up is "Juggernaut: Icarus Lives!" featuring Casey Sabol on vocals.

Tempo = 90 BPM

Disclaimer: In an attempt to stave off potential ignorant comments as I've received in the past, I felt the need for this nigh preposterous disclaimer. I am doing this for myself and for the sake of posterity. I put countless hours into these parts (composing, practicing, etc.) and wish to share them with everyone. I am in no way bitter or regretful; much on the contrary, I share a mutual friendship with everyone in Periphery and intend to keep it that way. Enjoy the videos!

  • Do you read the transcriptions in numbers like that? Is there some kind of legend to explain what each is?

  • 2:08 flamdiddles with double bass? what in the....

  • It's like he sets up his kit to best suit his style and maneuverability instead of just setting it up to look cool for the audience (which there is nothing wrong with that)

  • Is it a Pearl Reference brass snare 14x6,5 ? Just a wild guess :D

  • Wow your new TRX cymbals sound way better than these.

  • @winnerbaby44 I didn't see what was impossible D:

  • I've been trying to pick apart this song for months... I got the bass down. That's about it... 0:47 - 1:12 ... I say... its impossible! 2:16 - 2:28 ... I give up. 2:32 - 2:48 ... I've got the snare and bass only. Sigh... this song has been by far the most mechanically complicated thing I've ever even fathomed on drums.

  • 1:35 thats not possible.. it just isnt lol

  • you're great Travis ... you would make some new videos.
