  • i dig this

  • It's things like this, poetry, jazz and such ambrosial matters, that will return the respect for America.

Whether you agree with their policies or just think governments are a front for promulgation or any such "conspiracism" at least you will agree that they have approbation for intellect and culture.

I don't know much about foreign policies or war, but i would say a little less shooting and a few more jazz CDs are a good thing.

  • what song is playing during the whole video??please answer this.or what video?with the trumpet

  • @DarthClam That's what I said! the man who made this must have been uneducated in the styles of music. This is funk. He must have been like "hey, I like this, and it has a trumpet!" the music at the white house was no doubt pure swing jazz. Wynton Marsalis wouldn't have had it any other way. Love the support of jazz but jeez, get the music right!

  • J I V E. They are not playing jazz but a watered down pisspoor imitation. Why not have someone who knows jazz explaining it? .

  • looked like james brown on the thumbnail lol

  • @lovemyhealthcare agreed! Viva the jazz ;P

  • @snoopyflick I think you misunderstand what I mean by pure democracy. What I mean is how democracy should work in theory, governing society according to the wishes of society rather than those with large amounts of power/influence. I agree that democracy is in a dire state across the globe, but I also agree with Michelle Obama in saying that the way jazz operates is how democracy should.

  • @JamesFarrkoff Pure democracy is mob rule everywhere. I don't think you understand democracy is a gun in the room held by the majority of the people. That is the essence of the State and there is no way to get around that. That is why democracy can never be like jazz. One was invented by barbaric Men who sough to leech of society, the other a group of men who sought to express themselves through a new language.

  • @snoopyflick She's talking about pure democracy, democracy like we've never experienced. Democracy should evolve and change. Democracy shouldn't involve efforts to force people to believe one truth and one message. A perfect democracy would reflect what jazz is like. It's a sad state of affairs when democracy is not like jazz.
