Correction: above text should say shooting star & hammer. I just woke up & my brain's not working yet :)

Hi tremic6899,
Thanks for the feedback. Glad you liked the vid. Yes candlesticks are more visual. I use them myself (see my other candlestick vids). This series of 'price bar pattern' videos serves 2 purposes - 1. reversal patterns for those who don't use candles, and (2) the patterns are different from traditional candlestick patterns so they could provide new tools for candlestick traders as well (first 2 patterns are similar to shooting star/inv hammer, but remainder are new).

Nice video, Lance, thanks very much. However, don't you think that candlesticks could offer a much more VISUAL explanation of the method? Just wondering, as I use candles all the time.
Do really need to know these bars? The price bar reversal in this video is the same as the Shooting Star in Candlesticks right? Or am I mistaken?
Thanks.

Well spotted. The bearish/bullish rejection is basically the same as the shooting star/hammer candlestick patterns. The other price bar reversals differ though and would be worth watching (some are similar to candlesticks, but with subtle differences). Really though, the key part is understanding how the patterns show shifts in sentiment. If you can get that, you'll see changing sentiment in any sequence of candles/price bars, without requiring a textbook pattern.
Cheers,
Lance.

Gday Lance, another superb vid, and I like the fact that the bar chart signals act as extra ammo and work alongside candles, and are not meant to replace them, keep up the awesome work mate.

Thanks Ron,
It's all the same underlying price action, whether we use OHLC price bars or candles, so there's lessons here for all traders.
Glad you like it.
Cheers,
Lance.
