"If blondie was an actual band"? Blondie was not a band to you? They're only one of greatest new wave bands in history, they're in the rock n roll hall of fame, they have influenced millions of indie bands since the 80's. I think Radiohead, being as great as they are, chooses songs to cover very carefully and they wouldn't have chosen this song if they didn't think it came from a great band.

Why can't people do their own songs?

Blondie did at least 18 cover versions and as others have commented loads have covered theirs. It'll get to a point where people just cover covers.

sorry im brazilian...and i always change actual for recent, because here in brazil recent is "atual", so is very similar
