Testing out the ef 50 1.8 along with the fluid head 717a tripod from ebay. My lil cousin didn't seem to mind having a camera in her face. The Nintendo had her brainwashed. They both perform pretty well for how inexpensive they are. The kit lens doesn't come close in terms of low light performance to the 50. The tripod is super smooth and comes with its own carrying bag.
Canon T2I
EF 50mm 1.8
FD 50mm 1.8 (for the macro shot of the EF)
How much was the lens? Did you trade in the kit lens for it? I heard it's worth 700$ alone.

@poxxt The lens is only $100-120 depending on where you purchase it. Its the f1.8 lens not the f1.4. The 1.4 will run you about $400. The f1.4 im sure is a sharper lens and it has a wider focus ring so its easier to use with a follow focus, but for $100 you cant beat the nifty fifty.

Great shots what were your settings such as ISO etc...Do you think this lens would be good for music videos and hand held shooting ???

@africanhotty23 Truthfully i forgot what setting i had on when i shot this. I think 400 iso and 1/50th shutter. I put some 100 watt clamp lights around my little cousin to help. This lens would work great for music videos. The depth of field is really nice and its pretty sharp in low light. In terms of hand held shooting, this lens doesn't have image stabilization, so your shots may be a little too shaky.
