It's been over 20 years since I last attempted at this weight. I almost did not complete the squat. If yu just want to see the actual squat and do not care to see how I wrap my knees, skip half of the video.

For a lighter weight, knee wrapping is not necessary. In my case, I always wrap my knees when I squat over 300 lbs. Most people use regular weightlifting belt during workouts. I use a powerlifting belt made by Inzer Advanced Designs (www.inzernet.com) called Forever Lever Belt 10mm. It's a single piece of 10mm thick leather belt with 4 rows of stitches. Protecting my lower back while carrying several hundred pounds on my back is prmount. I have lot several belts over the years at the gym, so I got a purple one to avoid confusion with everyone else's black belt. Inzer has over 20 colors to choose from.

  • Thanks for the constructive comments. I agree that I need to tighten my belt a bit more. This belt felt really stiff, which is why I have hard time making it tighter because it cuts into my ribs. My previous powerlifting belt was a lot softer and has more notches.

  • puny weight... get outta here with that asian weight.....

  • @apklaxer39 - Why do you bother to watch it? It's not meant to be show off but for my own record. In any case, thanks anyway because at least you bothered to comment.

  • omg @ the dude curling in the squat rack!

  • @amac38 - Thanks?? In competition there is no bounce from parallel. 1 second hold rule applies before you can come up.

  • Lol I'm 15 and I rep that without a belt and knee straps.

  • @Niickk58 - guess you didn't get my comments from before. I am 43 when I lifted the squat. It's not showing off or anything but for my own record. Wait until you are in your forties - another 28 years later..

  • The big Son of a bitch behind him is what got my attention

  • Good form, good safety setup.

  • Well done buddy. How tall are you?

As a sidenote, I'm pretty interested in picking up one of those lever belts to replace mine, but I'm really not sure I yet understand how it works and if it's worth risking buying without knowing... Your thoughts?

  • Impressive lift. Ignore the idiots.

  • Just want to point out a couple of things. First, 365 at your size is wicked strong dude. Second, stay back on your heals. You roll forward and your knees travel over your toes. Third, do working sets with out a belt and wraps to build your core strength and tendons. Do that enough and you won't need knee wraps to squat anything but max effort. Good job.

  • Nice to see someone who uses a spotter and squat rack, I mean ive seen people fall backwards with the weight and a guy collapsing with no safety bars or spotter after that i use the bars lol

  • @JHinOC 43 is nothing. You should be in your prime. It takes 15 to 20 years to reach the peak. All the world's best powerlifters. strongman competitors, even bodybuilders are in their 40's.

  • im by no means telling you your own business, but i think you should tighten the belt. and it dont matter how much weight you squat, the point is you squat. i think like 1% of the world squats. if that. i do my reps with 525 and would never make fun of anyone doing a smaller weight. heck i worked out with a senior citizen the other day and i did what he did and never went over 175. i just did a lot of reps. kudos man. tighten the belt on a max effort.

  • I got a job working for.... somebody.... and so I got interested in powerlifting and how it looks from talking to the boss-man. Yours is the first video I watched...nice job.
