@5150BALANCE - That's how it's done. But as a teacher, I encourage my younger students to learn and master others solos. When a player is in their embryo stage, this is part healthy part of the maturation process. It's also a confidence booster. However, to still be copying others solo's in your 30ties or 40ties is a state of arrested musical development. And like you said, it doesn't get one very far.

i actually thought it was pretty good, Malmsteen got very little lead in this trac anyway, was mostly Vivian Cambell and George Lynch, and as far as ppl telling you not to cover ppl, they are either stoned or just stupid from birth , for this genre , 80s metal , you better play covers or you are gonna starve to death. heres me, altho i play drums not Guitar myspace/shredsplace

hehe Gotcha. I entered a bit late in the second solo, and that complicated the next section after the arpegio, the pedal note, which I suddenly had to rush to fit in time. It´s good to hear that people can actually tell these things.
