Bailout Solution

If you had $250.00 would you give a total stranger 1 penny to
save their life?

Here is one persons idea on the economy.
With all the money that the CEO's are getting it makes me think
about the actual dollar figures and what these figures mean.
Now forgetting about or at least setting aside the bonuses that
Citi Bank, Bank of America, Chrysler, GM and AIG.

What if rather than going through all the channels, red tape etc.
that takes forever to setup regulations for businesses that are
"too big to fail"

What if we forget about loans for small businesses for a minute.

What if we forget about the corporations that created the mess we
are all paying for and really start to think about the common
citizen of this country.

The phrase, "by the people for the people" comes to mind.


What if we just stop to dream a little bit and wish we each had
a million dollars.

Now I'm not sure how many working people there are in the United
States, (or maybe I should say potential working people because
so many of us are unemployed.
With 300 milion people in the USA I would guess the working force
to be around 230 million but let's just do some math and see what
it would take to give, (NOT LOAN) but just give every man, woman
and child a million dollars EACH.
So I'm going with the 300 million figure.
For starters, Tax on $1,000,000 is- 45% + 55,850 = $494,150.

So each person would end up with a little under 1/2 million dollars
after taxes.
And what would each person do with this money?
I would guess a lot would be paying off bills but all would be
doing some serious shopping which would encourage business and
get money circulating.

Grand Idea huh?
But where would we get this 300 million bucks?

I was just reading about President Obamas 787 Billion dollar
recovery plan on angrybearblogspot.com and it started me thinking
about these huge dollar amounts.
$787,000,000,000.00
Now if Obama would just take
$300,000,000 from that 787 billion dolars that would still leave
$786,700,000,000
Now that's .0038 rounded off is 4/100th's of one per cent.
That's 1/25 of one cent.

So back to the original question.
[If you had $250.00 would you give a total stranger 1 penny to
save their life?]

Well taking into account with the money coming from Uncle sam,
(bless his greedy little heart)
And then he will turn around and tax this money at about 50% and
his actual loss would only 150 million.

So the new question would be, If you had $500.00 would you give
a total stranger 1 penny to save their life?

You did your math wrong.. There are 300,000,000 americans. Giving each person 1,000,000 would cost 300,000,000,000,000 or 300 trillion dollars.

Giving 300 million away to Americans would be a dollar each, 300 billion would be 1000 each, and you guessed it 300 trillion would be 1 million each.

That's why it wouldn't work.
