This amazing movie certainly deserves featuring the extended, longer trailer.
Just get the DVD/Blu-ray.

Released on 1968
Directed by: Stanley Kubrick

  • They had high expectations for us in the past...

  • Tremendous movie. Thanks for posting this. I was a kid when the movie was first released in theaters. I didn't understand the story but I was amazed by it. I remember sitting with a friend of mine and we'd pore over the illustrations of the album cover of the soundtrack recording...then we'd see on TV in the news of the Apollo missions the latest progress toward the future that Kubrick created. Then came the end of Apollo, the bitterness of Vietnam, and that vision of the future was gone.

  • Funny thing is, it seems like the trailer here has more words spoken in it than the entire film.

One great, magnificent film and film-maker, to be sure. Thank you, Mr. Kubrick, for this and all you showed us. Would that the "great ones" could live forever.
