Flying balloons on Nov. 27th is bonus time. So it is safe to say this is likely the last flying of the year. After the perfect landing at Northwoods, Kathy put Josh and Erin in for their first balloon flight ever, on this last flight of 09. She also put "Kerry Luger" (not Larry Kreeger's real name, protecting his identity)in to co-pilot so he could experience the excitement of the unusual air patterns that took the first riders up to 4700+ ft. earlier and then spun them around like a top.
Again, kudos to the fantastically humble flight crew (video crew) as they were almost there to catch the balloon. Just one problem, there were power lines ahead. The balloon was forced down (as much as you can force a balloon to do anything) before a treeline. Had the chase crew been a little quicker, Kerry and Kathy might not have had to rely on the trees to catch stop the balloon. The action is captured from Jeep to catch on this video.
This isn't as exciting as the time the balloon bounced off of Bergners, but fun just the same.
