The Northern Suburbs and the effect of the storm - the worst many residents had seen in years. Left many without power and shops were forced to close. 16th November 2008.

We went without power for three days, luckily we had camping gear and solar hot water so we managed.

That was the best Mini-Tornado I have ever seen. Had all the clasic signs of a SEQ Mini-Tornado. Huge Updraft, some good Meso rotation, intense downdraft, very tall cloud structure with intense cooling aloft. Best Mini-Tornado in years. Sorry to hear of the loss to property.

Man, the sails at Kmart Plaza certainly took a beating, haven't really been in there since before that happened.

It's a good messege to all these freaks that use the man made climate change lie.
This is completely natural Australia has such diverse weather conditions, all ways has been and always will be.
Soon it will be us southernes that will be getting floods and ruff weather, compliments of nature:-)

The brute power of SE QLD beasts!
Love those storms but a shame about the damage, some areas recorded peak gusts in excess of 130km/h, stronger than the squalls of a category 1 cyclone.

Yeah, they are 'cool' but definitely do a lot of damage.
