98 K1500 - LED tails and 3rd brake light

A quick video of my eBay LED tails (which look amazing) and my Putco LED 3rd brake light. I plan on installing some 20-LED bulbs from V-LEDs to match the LED light bar and to give me better light output. Stupid dirty lens on the camera!

Ok so i bought the same exact putco 3rd brake light and its not working right for me. I plug it in and the reverse lights come on and thats it, i hit the break and nothin, turn on my interior dome light and then it works but not fully? Did you do anything differently when you installed yours like with the wiring?

@350AmericanMuscle Contact Putco. I had a similar thing happen. They know there's a problem and apparently we both got slightly older models that didn't have the change made to them/included with them. All it is is a little box that plugs in-line with everything. No modifications needed to the wiring of the light or vehicle. Hope that helps!

how does it work , when you use "turn sigran" and "break signal" at the same moment?

@Char1zard93 When I brake, the signal side that I'm using signals and the other half just stays on bright (just like the tail lights). When you have the hazards on, it stops flashing when you hit the brakes (also just like the tail lights). When the reverse lights are on, no red LED's light up in the light bar at all.

dude your truck is so clean! and I love the LED tailights...I was going to order a set from LMC Truck, but they're like 300$ or something ridiculous...nice job on keeping it clean...mines all rusty from this damn road salt.

@captaincrunch69 Thanks! I got them off eBay for $139. I can't wait to get the truck back out and see them for real in the night and during the day. This was just a really quick test of them.

@98ChevyK1500Z71 Thanks man i did and they sent me the adapter right away no charge! I was so happy to have it figured out finally after a year. Gunna install it once it warms up! Nice truck by the way gotta love the 88-98 GM trucks, i got a 96 GMC Sierra check her out sometime!
