@Tbird761 i'm not looking for 'e-cred'. I was quite simply puzzled at how a processor that is specifically made for rendering is comparable to the x6 at any clock. Also I am confused as the opteron owns the x6 in pretty much every other benchmark.

wow 32 seconds that seamed like an hour with my internet connection
-
i think for amd phenom ii 1090 t vs amd operton 2427 same six core thread?
-
Max 2 5970 in CFX.

I think it can't be overclocked, since the mobo doesn't have these features.

???? My amd x6 1055t@4ghz does this same benchmark in 38 seconds....

@killergram33 Congrats, you're running at almost twice the clock speed. Coupled with the fact that Cinebench R10 does not scale well beyond 6-8 cores, that's the story.

@killergram33 It should also be mentioned that this was run on Opteron CPUs that were launched over a year before Thuban core CPUs even existed. That you can land a comparable score two years later doesn't really build any e-cred.

why u have 4 gigs of ram on a 12 core system is out of my reach..
tupacole 8 months ago
@tupacole I had four gigs of RAM at that time because I couldn't yet afford the rest of the RAM I was planning on.

Wtf ? 2 prosesors 6 cores each and 36 sec ? my one intel core I7 920 @ 3,8ghz does this in 39 sec, and i only have 4 cores...

@logitechrevo An understandable criticism for someone not familiar with Cinebench R10. R10 (the software itself) does not scale well with more cores. R11.5 does much better. Also, you're running a 75% higher clock speed with hyperthreading.
