Also not trying to be rude... but according to Wikipedia, "The term (xylophone) may be used generally, to include all such instruments, such as the marimba and balafon or, more specifically, to refer to an orchestral instrument of somewhat higher pitch range than the chromatic marimba."
It's merely semantic. I'm not saying these are not marimbas. I'm merely stating that the broad definition of xylophone includes marimbas.
-
That's a marimba.

@MuroranJohn haha in your face Joverboss, trying to be a smart ass troll.
Damn I hate why people are so know it all about music, just enjoy it and yeah, if you're gonna run your mouth at least check wiki 1st. x)

@MuroranJohn not tryin to be rude, but he's right... those are marimbas, or at least a derivative of a marimba. not a xylo.
-
vibes are made of metal right. but xylophones are made of wood as marimbas are, i play those instruments.
and what he plays isnt neither a xylophone or a marimba because it sounds like crap.

On a scale of one to ten, this is fucking stupid.

I did some digging and found out his name is Masahiro Tatematsu. I think there are more videos of him if you search his name.
