@FowardUntoDawn13 Australia does not want to remove it (I'm Australian) Fiji is going back to FPTP because it benefits the military junta, and you seem to have forgotten that London uses a form of it, so does Ireland, so do about a dozen US cities, lets not forget France and your countries major parties. I know that the referendum lost however the lies created by the No camp have to be revealed.

Lets face it, your boys were SMASHED.

AV is such a joke! It is only used by 3 nations in the world and 2 of those nations are planning to remove it. Even the majority of the British Electoral Reform Society don't want it! The No Campaign is now winning in the polls by 20% and even if the referendum comes out as a yes, the turnout is going to be so poor, they won't be able to accept it. The only reason Nick Clegg wants AV is to buffer himself from the massive loss in seats the Lib Dems stand to loose.

@hemanrugger You are an absolute twit and should wash your mouth out. You denegrate humanity!

The Treasury has confirmed that a Yes vote will have no impact on the departmental spending review.

@MrAnywhatever Of course it will cost more, it will take LONGER to count the votes and people don't count the votes for free they're actually paid to do it so if they're working longer that means they're going to get payed more which means it will cost more.

@tramtrackharry - Wrongo! Firstly, AV doesn't cost any more than FPTP, that's a lie created by the no camp. Secondly, it WILL improve democracy because people who want to vote green can, but can also have a say in who actually comes to power if the greens are eliminated. Thirdly, it's not complicated, I know people are fannys and don't like change but it's no different to FPTP, you only have to rank one candidate if you want to.

@instantface - He also said golf was SHIT - does that mean we should ban golf?

@ulsterscotsonline They'll only pick up the smaller parties' votes if those voters put the large parties down as a preference. You can put a smaller party as your first choice and if they win, fantastic! If they lose then at least they got clear support, and your vote can go to another small party if you wish. It can eventually go to one of the large parties if you have a 'better them that the other guys' preference, or you can just leave them off the list so they never get your vote. It's easy!
As was said, this is bigger than ourselves. Vote yes, not just for you, but for the generations to come. Set our nation on a path to a better democracy.

I think the votes that are most needed are in places where there's no local election and especially for those working on the day. I think people need to make good use of the postal vote in the case of not being able to make it to the polling station. If you want to vote by post you need to get your application in my 12th April (by 12 noon). We need to be the change we want to see and it starts with AV!
