This is a Lignatone contrabassoon made in Checkolslovakia. Watch and hear the really low notes.

  • ill figure that low note with a bosendorfer 290 piano tomorrow. It goes that low.

  • The convention for bassoons was to write the model and serial number engraved on metal on the butt. Just remove the cover.

  • Where do you find the make/model of a bassoon? I have a Fox by Renard, that's all I know. Thanks :)

  • @STMAKnightMike The model is usually on the butt. Remove the cap first and then it is usually engraved.

  • @cellofellow1223 give me an offer I cant refuse.

  • Wow, what's that last note that was played? Too low till I can't figure it out ><

  • @cellofellow1223 Whats a tuning slide?

  • That bocal looks HUUUUUUUGE

  • Try pushing in the tuning slide (if it can go in farther than it is), it makes a huge difference.

  • You think some warming up will make it in tune? It was just fixed when the video was taken.
