  • ละครเรื่องนี้ผมดู 4 รอบแล้วครับ น้ำตาไหลทุกรอบเลย ...

  • @NellieGoh99 Erm sorry but all jeanette roles are very very outsanding she get almost all the roles that are good and can easily win best actress like breakout, the little nonya but she still can't proved it yeah but to say the truth joanne is really the real awesome actress that why she gained the likes of the hot favourite winner actor chen han wei he always praised joanne peh for her skills plus joanne acting is better and her role even though is not good but pitful and she carried it best

  • @XIAOSAB123 I like Jeanette Aw in this show. And not because she needs to act in two roles, but thhe difficulty in acting the two roles. Not speaking while acting is actually quite difficult because sometimes, you might blurt a few words out and MUST redo the scene. So I think Jeannete Aw deserves to win more. No offence and I also think that Joanne Peh is a really good actress. But I think that Jeannette Aw is and awesome actress. :)

  • Genetically speaking, not all peranakan is mixed with malay, balinese, javanese & riau. Mixed race peranakan is mostly in Malacca and it is only mixed back in the 17th century. Later on, majority of peranakan are either marrying within their own elites or resuming to postal brides from their ancestral provinces or home villages in China. Most peranakan are from early peasant migrants in the 19th century who made a good fortune, adopted rich ppl customs & localised with european influences.

  • Actually back in those days, there's no distinction between peranakan & chinese culture. peranakan is a modern word borrowed from bahasa to illustrate the "localised chinese " for the adoption of certain malay habits & elaborate customs of the mandarin elites. This is bcos of the apparent distinction btwn rich & poor back in the feudal days. My older generation lived in peranakan area (we're not baba) &they refer them as "towkay gong" or "taipan" (towkay means boss. taipan= businessmen group)
