@Blizzstyle4321 Which one from that brand would you recommended? Also, I had many people tell me to buy a fender but I have a 400 - 600 dollar budget so I'm not sure I can really do much with that, especially when buying an amp etc...

@xronax1234 there are some good esp ltd which are cheap

4 minutes of talking is too much for me

@thatcoolG i've tried em before but they're made of the same material as the Dunlop Gels picks i used to use. the problem is that they flake at the point of the pickstrike, so you'll get red or purple flakes all over your guitar, and the pick wears out really quickly. my favorite are the black Nylon picks. they stay together very well and they don't color the string or your pickups. they do wear out, EVENTUALLY, but you'll get a good life out of em. better than most picks.

@xronax1234 Sure, there are a variety of starter packs, but personally I like Ibanez and Epiphone.

I have a question that's really been bothering me. When you're talking about going from palm muted to non palm muted parts, should my hand be floating in the air when picking the single notes? Like your example with blackened. Do you palm mute the e then lift your hand up a little bit so the notes on the a and d string are not muted? When I pick single notes with my hand in the air like that I kind of get lost, but it could very much be that I need more practice lol.

@Bunplosion Sorry I never got back to you. Anyway, yes, your hand can be in the air, or you can rest it on the bridge itself away from the brige. Just whatever is most comfortable to you. You will probably get it more with practice though.

I never noticed it, but Ive been playing all along by strumming by my forearm. What should I do to change this so I can actually start building in speed?

You can try moving your wrist and fingers too.
