Florida State defeats Nebraska for national title

Highlights from the 1994 Orange Bowl. Bobby Bowden and Tom Osbourne were each looking to win their first national title. FSU overcame a dropped touchdown pass, a Nebraska tip drill that resulted in a touchdown, and an overthrow and a pass interference penalty on what would have been gamewinning touchdowns to win 18-16. The game was not without controversy as Nebraska fans often point to the borderline William Floyd touchdown that could have been ruled a fumble and the unnecessary roughness call on FSU's final drive but usually don't mention the calls that went in the Huskers favor which I took the liberty of highlighting in this video : ) Controversy aside this was one of the greatest national championship games in college football history

@encycl07pedia Huskers won this game, I was 12 at the time and it was clear as day to me. Please do not call Nebraska FSU's bitch, they have never been sanctioned by the NCAA for cheating.

You forgot to mention the Dixon punt return which was totally a TD and blown call, and the Floyd run prior to his TD run was stopped because they blew the whistle. The late hit and pass interference on the last FSU drive were BS for a championship game in the last minute.

Floyd bowled into the endzone and they didn't call it a TD. That was a blown call the play before. AND yeah McCorvey dropped the shit out of the ball in the game we could have had 2 TDs on Kez drops.

can't wait for football season again! it's my last year as a nole, and i'd pretty much give my left nut for them to win it all. it's not incredibly likely, but that would be an incredible exit from this school

@pbkic46 c'mon dude calm down... this game was 17 years ago... if you still get mad about that today then you need to get your priorities straight. there were some bad calls on both sides in this game so i think you should calm down... Go Noles!
