This is pretty much my daily ride on my 2001 sv650s. There wasn't a whole lot of traffic on the road this day so I took advantage.
This is part 1 of 2 of my ride and takes place on River Road in Asheville NC. Its a nice road to ride on for the most part.

stage 3 jet kit

  • @jtkratzer I have and that's where I'm coming from. I don't miss the twin any at all. That time to get into the power band is a fraction of a second since once you're in, you don't come out!

  • What's a D&D?

  • Agreed, esp on the torque aspect my bike seems to be nothing but torque. I really need to make another video this was almost 2 years ago. The SV is still running strong :)

    Thanks for the comment

  • You've never ridden one, have you? These bikes have power from idle to redline. It doesn't take time to get into the power band like on the inline-4s.

The inline-4s are faster on the track, no doubt, but on the street, in real world riding, these bikes are as fast or faster.

  • I almost considering buying a 650 twin but I'm glad I didn't now. The less than smooth, buzzy motor and lack of torque at crusing speeds would have left me wanting more. Looks like you're definately enjoying your bike though!
