@WI5Wannabe How bout principles the Greeks enjoyed.
-
I know it's not 1985 but training principles have not changed that much in decades. I believe Mr DeFranco sometimes employs principles the Russians enjoyed in the 70's!
I have to disagree with you. Strength + flexibility does not = speed.
Its the rate he can apply that force that will dictate his speed.
-
-
that is a big dude.
-
Yes but is he training for speed during this exercise? He may well be pushing sprints and speed in other sessions. Would this session add to his speed? See force Time curve Hakkinen & Koni 1985, to help demonstrate my point. My point is in sport, speed is king. If it takes him 2seconds to generate this force, he'll be 1.75second too late as his opponent breezes past him?
-
@WI5Wannabe Think about how much faster this man could move if he DIDN'T drag over half a ton!
-
He gonna be a problem in the NFL if he could make it to my niners roster, we'll have the line of the future.
-
WI5Wannabe, point taken, but I suggest you take a look at his website, two you starter in the big ten, played every snap of every offensive play including extra point and field goals...His film shows him having quite an outing against some of the best DE's in college football and getting to the second level...
-
Not disputing this guy's strength but in a game situation it is speed x strength that is the most critical. No point in being that strong if you can't get into the position to use it because your opponent is ten metres past you!
-
it would be horrifying to be infront of that man on the field...
-
Big Jeff Wills doing his thing, NFL here we come!!!!
