Dunno if anyone has pointed it out yet, but he's actually just sweeping a diminished chord. It doesn't have to be done over a minor harmonic chord progression, it can be done whenever a dim chord is being played.
That's why the 3 fret sliding is possible. And there are only three diminished chords of that kind.

hey that is really interesting how you figured out the same harmonic minor notes on different octaves of different strings every 3 frets!!! is that something special with the harmonic scale or can similar theories be applied to other scales. Cause tidbits like that can really help move the solos all over the neck while seamlessly playing in the same key!

@winter0155 if u want a really cool arabian scale follow this pattern
1/2 step- 1 1/2 steps - 1/2 step - whole step - 1/2 step - 1 1/2 steps- half step!!!
or something like this
