  • This episode showed just how good an actor David Tennant is. Through most of the episode, he's his normal silly Doctor. But at the end, you saw the absolute depths of loneliness which encompassed the Doctor. The truth of his soul which he hid with laughter and silly antics like a grease faced clown.

  • @GallifreyGirl49 Actually Steven Moffat wrote this episode..

  • This music always makes me so sad :'(

  • I can sort of imagine the Doctor and Madame Pompadour waltzing slowly to this song on an empty dance floor in his dreams, both knowing it isn't real but dancing anyways... :(

  • "I just snogged Madame de Pompadour!"

  • I cried when I heard this song! Amazing!

  • @wolfva

I swear to god there's a Joker reference in your comment.

Or I'm just an overly obsessive Batman nerd. Whichever fits.

  • @andrewofthelemon River is awesome and the way her story played out in series 6 was really intersting!

  • @amirizar2012 except when he is with River...<3 I will marry her someday...

  • @wolfva I love you're comment it sums up my feelings of David Tennant as the doctor perfectly P: that's his nature hide the sadness behind silliness.

  • This episode really showed the loneliness the doctor feels....one can feel it when he says i'm fine...i'm always fine since it means the exact opposite in fact. The look on his face and the combination of this beautiful and heartbreaking music when he's reading her final letter is so sad! this is my favorite song and episode!
