I just got a k1000 with a 50mm lens from a antique store for $50 :D

Even though I use a dSLR, I still believe that film has a more authentic nature to it. This was really great, thank a million.

Film has a wider dynamic range than digital.
Ie it picks out details in dark areas that a digital camera loses. Film has a lot of plus points as does digital.
The killing drawback of film is its cost getting your photos developed.
If you do test out an old camera just do a test roll and get it developed first.
Anything wrong will be obvious straight away.

at 5:48 F/22 22 is not the focal length, F is focal length divide it by 22, so 50/22=2.3 and 2.3 is the aperture in miller meter.

@Rotten3ullet In the video I'm referring to the ratio of aperture size to focal length, not the actual physical measurement. So in your example it would be the aperture size of 2.27 divided by the focal length, 50, which would be 2.27/50, which is an equivalent fraction to 1/22.
