The Swamp Fox Rollercoaster - Family Kingdom Amusement Park, Myrtle Beach, SC

Okay, so it's a little shaky. It IS a wooden rollercoaster after all. I figured it was a beautiful day, I had my Flip Video Camera with me, there weren't any lines (it was the end of summer), and I walked up and got the front seat. I was listening to "Son of a Gun" this week on the way home and thought, "man, that'd be such a great song to play over that crappy rollercoaster video I shot" and it gave me an excuse to play with iMovie, which I've had now for about 5 months and haven't ever once opened up. So I did, and here's the video.

I love this ride; riding it for the first time is still one of the defining moments of my childhood. Even now, after 12 years since my first ride (7 then, 19 now), that first drop and last curve get me every time. Such a classic. :)

@karimisbeast It's fun in the front and middle cars. That little drop and u-turn at the top is faster than it looks. The initial drop puts a smile or scream on any face and everything else makes it memorable enough to want to ride again.

I rode on it three times yesterday, one Daytime, one Evening, and one Nighttime. Every one was fun and left me with a smile on my face wanting more.

@madaisy077 What!!? you've never ridden. One of the top 10 active wooden coasters. The Swamp Fox is a classic. Every seat is a different ride, every ride in the same seat is a different experience. go ride your smooth as glass loop da loop 'Batman' ride at Universal if you want boring.
