  • So, we had 6 yrs of the Republicans BORROW-and-spending us into a $10 trillion hole. Doubled the national debt to $12 T, failed to pay for the est. $3 T war ($1 T now, and $2 T to finish their 2 unfinished wars, rebuild our military, along with paying for the casualties), another $700 B TARP, that was created and pushed through by Bush/Bernanke/Paulson, and a $1.3 T deficit in 2009, not counting the economic trainwreck all on the GOP watch. And Bush's 9/11 failure as Commander-in-chief. Amazing.

  • I want to qualify my comment below, for the Republicans who will say that the GOP only held control of Congress for 6 of 8 yrs. That's naive, if you don't know reality. Fact, the GOP got everything they wanted in Congress for 6 yrs, with Bush NOT VETOING ONE BILL in that time. A record. Until the Dems came in in Jan 2007, at which time Bush began vetoing en masse. Then, the minority-GOP began filibustering in the Senate, going so far as to proudly say, this was a DO NOTHING Congress. My point.

  • Putting aside the embarrassment of the Republicans, who did ZERO on Health Care Reform for 2 Presidential terms, and the 8 years of Congress, they've now openly stated, they intend to kill the Democratic attempt to fix the problem. Shame on you. Hurting millions of American families to maintain the broken system is anti-American. And now we have bald-faced lies by the GOP, that say guaranteed benefits would be cut from the program. Shame on you Murkowski for saying what we all know to be untrue.
