  • super!! She had an amazing voice considering the hammer it got singing day after day in smoky theatres. World of difference to todays TV manufactured rubbish who could never reach those high notes and still be intelligable. Thank you, Cat's Pyjamas.

  • @TheSteamtramman You're welcome, Jeanette is my favorite soprano. I feel that her '50's recordings show off her voice even better than the older ones because of the advances in recording technology.

  • Another Hit, on my favorite list already. Had not heard this in a while. I'm sure you have lot's of good music in store now that you are in the early 50's.

    Keep it up. Thanks

  • @borden1957 You're right, I'm almost into the early '50's and I have a lot of real treasures coming (and that's an understatement!). Soon this channel will become an all-1950's channel and I'm hoping that will attract more subscribers and comments. I've been a bit disheartened by the lack of comments and interest thus far, so thanks for so much for yours! The '50's and early '60's are my favorite time period in music, and hopefully this channel will become more popular. :)

I enjoy your channel a lot and have listened to almost everything you have posted.

I have especially liked the early series of records from the 1910s, which were all new to me.

Looking forward to what you have selected for the 1950s and 60s!

  • @abendstunde49 Thank you so much! I appreciate your support. :)
