Joe's POV
I feel absolutely and utterly terrible as I wake up on this rainy Thursday morning in the bus. "J-Joe?" I see Alyssa's beautiful face suddenly appear next to me. I jump slightly, smiling a little. "Hey, sweetheart. Listen, I'm so-Don't worry about it. It's over." Alyssa's words jumble out of her mouth. "Oh okay... But, still, I'm sorry." I say, just assuring her that I am. Alyssa leans forwards and kisses my cheek. "It's fine. You didn't know." Alyssa brushes back my hair. She stares into my eyes as I stare at hers. Her eyes appear to be glassy, almost like she's going to cry. "Babe? Something wrong?" Alyssa rolls her eyes, shaking her head. "Like there isn't always." She says with a dejected tone of voice. "Alyssa don't say that." I put a hand on her thigh. "Don't act like it's not the truth." Alyssa snaps back at me. I raise an eyebrow, looking at her carefully. "Forget it. Let's please drop this now." She says. I shake my head. I pull her close to me, kissing her lips once. She lingers by my lips, going back for more. She then teases me and pulls away after lightly pecking my nose. I ignore that, putting my hand on the back of her head, pushing her lips to mine. She lets out a soft giggle, laying on me. "J-Joe." She whispers. I let out a small moan, ignoring her again. "Joe!" Alyssa yells, pushing me away. Alyssa covers her nose and mouth, breathing in deeply. "Are you okay?" I ask, giving her a nervous look. Alyssa nods, still breathing hardly. After a couple moments of silence, Alyssa speaks. "Your blood..." She shakes. I look at her, wide-eyed. "Oh, I'm so sorry..." I say, keeping my voice low and sincere. "I-It's okay... I'm just gonna l-leave for a little bit." Alyssa says, rising uneasily from the bunk. "Are you sure?" I ask, but before I know it, Alyssa shuts the bedroom door with a little tap.
I quickly scan the tour bus for Alyssa, not seeing her anywhere. I've given her at least a half hour to herself... That's long enough right? "Nick! Kevin! Have you seen Alyssa?" I ask, getting a little jittery. Where in the world could she be? Did she faint somewhere? Trip somewhere and bump her head? "She's in the bathroom!" I hear Kevin call back. Wow, Joe... Wow... "Oh okay! Thanks!" I shake my head. I take a deep breath, calming myself down. I walk out to the living room-like part of our bus, seeing Nick and Kevin on the couch, watching TV. I sit down to join them, but then I hear the bathroom door open, seeing Alyssa come out. Her hair and makeup is all done but she's still in her night shirt. I look at her carefully, seeing her turn the opposite direction from me. Alyssa walks back to the bunk room. I feel a sudden urge to get up and fallow her, but I keep myself in place. "Joe?" I hear Alyssa's soft, muffled voice ask. I dash as fast as I can, almost too fast. "Yes?" I ask, a little out of breath at the door. "When are we getting to the hotel?" She asks, turning around to face me. I pant like a dog, trying to find words to say. "S-soon... Like thirty m-minutes." I stutter. "Okay." Alyssa turns back around to her suitcase. That's it? Humph... Okay... I go up behind Alyssa, wrapping my arms around her. I feel her cold back on my chest, making me shiver. Alyssa drops her clothes that she is folding in her suitcase, her arms dangling by her sides. "Hey there." I whisper into her ear. Alyssa breathes deeply, resting the back of her head on my chest. "Hey." She smiles. I kiss her shoulder, leaving my lips there for a while. "Can't wait for the concert tonight." Alyssa says happily. I smile, knowing that she can feel it on her skin. "Same... It's going to be one of our biggest crowds we've had in a while. Sold out show." I say excitedly. Alyssa turns around. "I'll be out with you guys in a couple minutes. I have to pack and get dressed." She lightly pushes me. "I have to also, so I guess I'll just stay here." I shrug. Alyssa nods silently, turning away from me. I absentmindedly take my shirt off, going to my packed suitcase to get another one. Alyssa does the same, taking her nightshirt off. When I hear her open her suitcase, I look over to Alyssa. Her thin, pale figure is aluminized by the faint light in the room. I turn fully around, feeling a strong attraction come over me. "Joe? I'm sort of hungry... Do you think me, you, Nick, and Kevin could go get-..." She says, turning around and looking at me. She stands there still, seeing me looking right at her. "Oh, hey." Alyssa smiles. I smile back, walking closer to her. "Hey." I put my hands on her bare hips. I lean down to her face and give her a quick peck on her cheek. "You're smile is gorgeous..." I whisper. "I love seeing it."
