That part when Dom looks at Marcus and is like " I don't know what to do, I don't know what to do man" just plain kills me.

Phantasy Star IV - Alys's death and burial, for me. The fact that she takes time to pass, and the characters, after fighting and doing everything they can to stop it, have to face up their helplessness as she dies... God, it broke me up when I was a ten year old playing it, and it still brings the tears seventeen years later.
What made it nice, is that after she's laid to rest, the cutscene keeps going, giving the characters (and us) a little time to breath before it's off to the next dungeon.

Saddest and very memorable moment for me was Metal Gear Solid Sniper Wolfs Death. Even though she was an opposition she died a sad life.

Nowadays, fps are getting a lot of the sad deaths. Cod4 = nuke; Gears 2; Mw2 =roach and ghost death; medal of honor = rabbit's death
