  • We’re all very saddened to hear that Francine Bryer, one of our members and a fellow CHD patient, died last night at THG of cardiac arrest. Fran was the co-founder and president of the Heart Defects Society of Windsor and Essex County.

After spending a lifetime struggling with her heart defects, Fran received a heart transplant on November 9, 2009. She was born on September 18, 1973 and passed away on September 7, 2010.

  • We're sorry to say that Amy Louie died after a life-long battle with congenital heart disease on Tuesday, February 1, 2011. She was the beloved wife and life-partner of Gary Hum, and devoted and loving mother of Emilya. She was an early member of the Canadian Congenital Heart Alliance and we will miss her very much.
