will it work with multiple ipad input? for example, My monitor engineer has the mixer (with the ipad), my bandmates and i have iPads too.. could we use our iPads (of course via Wifi) to mix our own monitors? we use IEM's sennheser G2.

You can have up to 10 devices controlling the mixer at once. There is also an access limiting feature that will let you choose what controls each of the bandmates has access to in case you are worried about them adjusting the FOH mix or something. We will also be launching the My Fader app soon for iPhone and iPod touch, allowing your band to have this level of control with smaller and more affordable devices.

Two Questions:
1. Do I need to have a wireless router every time I want to detach my iPad from the mixer? I can't use the Wifi from whatever place I'm in with the mixer?
2. Can I plug in wedges/monitors to the mixer? How many?

Hey there,
You need to have a wireless router hooked to the mixer for wireless control. You really want to create a network that is not on the internet and is dedicated to your mixer. That way, you can set up your own network password and prevent others from possibly controlling your mix!
The DL1608 has 6 aux outs. This allows you to create up to six separate monitor mixes.

An LS9-16 costs over $5,000. The Mackie DL1608 is going to go for $999 U.S. street price. Sorry you didn't like the video.

How would you be able to use up to ten devices? Have one intern connection and let everyone use it? If I hocked it up to my MacBook via Ethernet, could I use Pro Tools to record?

any plans to have seperate controls over effects and EQ etc on the main mix and the aux mix? Its the main complaint i read when checking reviews and the thing that could most effect my set up.

My office just bought one of these, I am not sure who this ad is meant to target, but if it's me it's _totally working_. Think I just figured out my weekend plans.

@mackietv wow thats really cool. We ordered from our local dealer and its gonna be arriving in a week. Cant waitto test it out before our tour. This would make everything so easy. Instead of our RM running around the asking what we need in our mixes. This is really innovative.. I have downloaded the app and im already getting the hang of it. Im just looking if i could group some of the channels. Not sure if i can but if not, that would be a really cool update. Thanks again mackietv.
