  • Rest In Peace Bob. We will always remember you as the voice of the Seattle Supersonics. It was always great to listen to you call the games on the radio when we could not watch it on t.v.

    R.I.P. Bob Blackburn.

  • R.I.P. Bob Blackburn and BRING BACK the Seattle SuperSonics!!!

  • Bob Blackburn is now in heaven calling games with Chick Hearn, Johnny Most and Skip Caray. Bob is to the SuperSonics like Hearn to the Lakers and Johnny Most to the Celtics.

  • @Freenbean Remember who KIRO tried to replace Blackburn with? Gary Justice!!

  • I remember when KIRO got the rights from KOMO, and was going to bring in a new play by play man. Public pressure forced them to retain Blackburn. They made the announcement at a Sonics game. The PA announcer started by saying the Sonics would like to introduce their new voice for the following season. The crowd booed. Then he said it would be the same voice fans had heard since 67- Bob Blackburn. The crowd gave that news a standing O.

  • i have the last 30 seconds or so memorized , have been replaying it in my head for the last 30 years,,thanks bob
