Paramahamsa Nithyananda's 2009 Gurupoornima Message

The auspicious occasion of Guru Poornima was celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm at Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam, Bidadi on July 7, 2009.

Guru Poornima is a beautiful day of great reverence reminding one of the deepest of relationships guru-disciple relationship. This is the only day when the guru takes bhiksha (offering) from his devotees while the devotees have the gift of the opportunity to offload their karmas and ego at the feet of the guru.

In his address to the tens of thousands who had gathered on Guru Poornima, Paramahamsa Nithyananda spoke on vitarka the right reasoning that helps overcome all suffering in life and which enables us to live life in an auspicious manner. Instead of living in vitarka we live spend our life in kutarka, which is the logic of cunning behavior. Such cunning logic may in the short run seem to bring us material benefits but it always results in suffering.

Vitarka or right reasoning results in is-ness, just being. Is-ness in turn results in ease-ness, which is happiness and bliss. Following the Masters words and his body language helps develop vitarka.

Hi Enairama1... I want you to understand one thing, as u got connected to Swamiji for a month or so. This may look strange to u as u might be thinking this is happening only to U.. but trust me, this is PROCESS. All this process means, u got connected to Swamiji. I don't know wat is ur 1st encounter with Swamiji.. but what i can assure U is, He has planted a seed of spiritual growth in U which is growing up day by day. Why i can clearly say this is, i too went thru the same PROCESS.

OMG! When I ask him a question in my mind, the answer comes to me too. I imagine that he talks to me in my mind. He is really present in me. I can't belive it, but it is true. My life change for the so much better since I know him (1 month or so) through these videos. I hope to see him in person in October in New York City, Queens. I love Swamiji. He is God incarnated.

Thanks for this video. I was at Bidadi with my family for Guru Purnima. There was quite a crowd waiting in line to offer their 'Bhiksha' and touch Guruji's feet. Unfortunately (atleast it was unfortunate for me)...the volunteer on duty asked me to drop my bhiksha in a small brass container and I wasn't given an opportunity to touch Swamiji's feet. Felt a bit let down and angry at that time.

But most importantly, I am able to listen to his message now. Thanks for the video.

I haven't seen Swami Nityananda but felt the love that he conveys in every one of his messages, when a disciple of his visited our city recently. It was only 3 weeks ago but it seems like I have known him long enough to make me long for Swami to come. I am longing to get initiated! I wonder why it took so long for me to feel this way. His power is beyond words and pervades his followers as well!
