  • It's about sparsity and fullness between the silences. Every sound carries more significance since they have to stand on their own. It's a postmodern attitude about what defines a melody. It's supposed to be a bit melodramatic as well.

I'm not trying to attack your opinion, I am only meaning to show you an aspect you may have not seen before.

It's quite possible to "get" this music and still dislike it. It just takes a bit of an adjustment to "get" it.

  • If he was talented enough to make the wonderful background music all on his own, I'm pretty sure he has the right to do whatever the fuck he wants with the rest of the song.

  • "gotta find 'n kill my shadow self."

  • A crush on Link from Zelda? I guess we've all been there.

  • @pianoman187 afaik he does play the violin... so there isnt much left.

  • oh this is really cool :)

  • what's with the title....

  • This is very true. As I'm listening to his music more and more now I'm starting to understand, I think, his music more and more. There are some pieces of his I find myself liking such as "Better than Worse", but a majority of his music just isn't my cup of tea. That being said, I still hold that he's a talented musician in his own right.

  • All sorts. I'm primarily a "classical" fan, myself, though that includes renaissance to post modern music. Also, I'm a big fan of many video game scores. Likewise, I enjoy popular music such as rock, pop, et al. Folk music, so-called world music, etc. Genre doesn't limit whether or not I like the music. It is, rather, if it appeals to me or not. His music just isn't my personal taste.

  • what type of music do you like?

  • His solo work is SO much better than Arcade of Fire!!!
