I think its hard to "latch on" to serious photographers when you work in an unrelated field but just want to learn from the best to satiate a passion.

Hey fro! My mom wont let me buy a DLSR because she thinks I will not like photography in a few months anymore. But Ive liked it for a year! And she thinks my compact camera is good enough but you can't change shutter speed or ISO or anything!!! How can I get her to buy me one. Or any ideas for jobs? Please respond.

@RusRapunzul its not the camera.... its the passion and drive..... save up slowly .... takes along time.... i spend my money alot but i saved.... enought to buy a middle class camera..... im 16 and i have a freakin killer passion haaa weird but you can do it if you try.... i almost bought a used camera too but my mom wouldnt let me... so dude it will take a while but you can do it :)

Its so much harder to get hook ups in MA without being able to get to college for photography. You can't go to the Garden with ANY sort of camera bag whatsoever, pisses me off all the time.
