Hi, I'm Melissa Atieh and I'm a CVS pharmacist. Having healthy skin helps you look younger and healthier. There are many things you can do to maintain healthy skin that don't involve expensive and invasive cosmetic procedures.
Here are the most important things you can do keep that youthful glow. First, always protect your skin. It's never too early to begin, so start even if you don't have any signs of wrinkles or blemishes. Remember to always use sunscreen and wear protective clothing. You shouldn't smoke. Try to get enough sleep every night. Avoid dehydration by drinking a lot of water, and limit your caffeine intake. Keep a healthy diet, and avoid loading up on white sugar or processed food. Don't drink too much alcohol, and maintain a healthy weight throughout life. "Yo-yo" dieters whose weight goes up and down dramatically can speed up the aging process and can end up with sagging skin.
Follow these tips, and your skin will not only look younger, it will also be healthier. If you have any questions about skin care, talk to a CVS pharmacist. We're here to help.
