Hi all :-) This is my mini review of the new mp4nation.net BRAINWAVZ HM3 full size headphones. These are the first full size headphones in the BRAINWAVZ lineup...and I must say they are a great first effort.
First of all, the HM3's have a fine quality of build, with good quality plastics and a strong, OFC cord. They are lightweight and have great cushioning with a very low clamping force. This combined with good adjustability make for great long haul listening sessions, in my case over 8 hours a day easily. The sound signature is a bit on the bass(lower) end,but after a full break in(after around 80-90 or so hours) the mids and highs really opened up well. It would be unfair to call these bass heavy, as the quality of the bass is tight and solid, not boomy and loose, allowing the mids and higher end to shine as well...all in all a very well balanced set of cans.
If you want a comparison to other BRAINWAVZ iem's, the closest I can compare them to is the M2's, but again to be fair, the sound signature of the HM3's is unique to itself. All types of music played back well on them, from Jazz to Heavy Metal, nothing sounded off or distorted, just very well reproduced. I have noticed that the HM3's do respond well to external amplification, with more than just the sound getting louder as a result. Using the FiiO E5 and E3 inline amps revealed a fuller, more detailed sound, and that was a nice surprise!
To sum up, the HM3's are a great addition to the BRAINWAVZ lineup, and a fantastic first effort on the part of mp4nation to bring us a high quality, low cost set of full size headphones. They continue the tradition of getting much more than you would think for you hard earned cash. Very Highly Recommended!!
Any questions, please ask below and I will try my best to answer. Thanks for watching!

They are entirelly different headphones. The HM5's are monitors while the HM3's are more bass heavy and have a less pronouned midrange and highs compared to the HM5's..this meand they have different missions and the choice will be up to you.

How are these compare to the Brainwavz M2?
BulldozerDubstep 3 months ago
@BulldozerDubstep They have a better sound stage than the M2's, with a more focused sound, and smoother bass. If you like to use amps, the HM3's are much better than the M2's, responding better to different inputs from an amp. Hope that helps :)

Have you got the chance to compare them to the similarly designed headphone from Fischer audio? just to know whether they are just a rebranded version or does it actually have a different set of drivers..
avengedtheater 3 months ago
@avengedtheater As much as I would love to do that,I dont have any access to any Fischer audio products where I live short of buying them online, and that isnt going to happen.Someone a little richer than me is going to have to do that, sorry. I can say that BRAINWAVZ iem's that were made from similar designs by other makes were always specifically tuned by mp4nation,not just a direct copy(different drivers/cables,etc.),so I would think the HM3's would follow that same path.Just my educated guess.
