@ViennaForever ...Hey there,with all due respect, Santana is one of those geniuses who surpassed his masters...Santana for a short spell played along side Javier Batiz (El Vuelo del Angel) Javier is Mexicos Blues Godfather...Santana is now World Wide adored! Santana learned from Javier about blending blues with a latin groove and African rythm and so forth. Santana's sound is veeerrry similar to Javiers. Santana created his own style out playing Javier, Carlos sound is allways without flaw5star

@inman1a If you watch just a few versions that Eric Clapton does of any of his "hits" or classics you see never the same arrangement or solo twice. EVER. Think how many times Carlos has played this song! He would be a hack if he did not experiment with new arrangements and musicians. You must remember this concert was in Mexico City. He gave them something "fresh" but in keeping with a popular trend in latin music at the time. But, then, SANTANA STARTED this kind of popular rock music.

I'm driving home from a long day at work. I've got my Mike's Hard Lemonade in a to-go cup and as I drive over the mountain I can see the sun setting across the desert. The speed limit is 70 but I'm cruisin' at 55 'cause I want to take my time and listen Carlos play the sun to bed. No hurry, no worry.
