Kirby Heritage 84 - Long video

Here's my Kirby Heritage 84, kindly offered to me by someone who saw my videos here and saw my username on Freecycle, so I've repaired it, tidied it up, upgraded it to use the new HEPAII bags (not fitted as yet, it has the G4/G5 type MicronMagic bags at the moment), but keeping the original Sani-Emtor. Pretty much everything looks original, bar the footswitch, cablehook, filltube and handle lock switch. The tools are mostly complete, the TurboBrush is from another Heritage toolset I bought but I still use it with this one... :)

This was recorded onto 8mm Tape on a camcorder I got cheap, so the quality isn't great, but it works... :)

Apologies for the poor editing in places, I just got a new video gadget and software, and the editing software is awful!!!

Dave, again, have you tried to convert your Classic III and Tradition to 2-speed setup?

I haven't gotten round to upgrading my Tradition, and the ClassicIII is well out of commission until I can get a replacement rug nozzle for it... :)

ive got the same kirby wat does the turbo logo mean its the same motor as the trad.

It relates to the Turbo tool that they started selling with the Heritage series (initially just a rebranded turbo tool as seen in the video, then later replaced with the Kirby designed Zip-Brush, which I haven't got).... :)

As for the motors being the same, in the US I believe they are, but here in the UK, the Trad motor was different, being available as single-speed only, no idea why cos 2-speed motors are fine on later models, and retrofitting works well too... :)

Stick this number into ebay's search box, and there you go, all you need is the right screwdrivers and some silicone sealant for when you put it back together...
