Puede que este video se trate de la primera filmación del grupo de los hermanos Davies, allá por 1964. Registra sus rudos inicios frente a la parroquia del mitico Cavern Club, el mitico antro en el que se dieron a conocer los Beatles.

Los Kinks interpretan una cruda versión del "Long Tall Sally" de Penniman, seudónimo éste último que utilizaba Little Richard cuando firmaba sus particulares himnos hedonistas.

That was very cool! In the States, the Kinks released Long Tall Sally on a small label called Cameo Parkway, who had mainly teen acts like Bobby Rydel and Chubby Checker. If you owned that record, you'd be lucky as it didn't chart. Lucky for us Ray started writing fantastic songs which did chart. Long Live The Kinks!!

Wow this must be super rare. Especially how its at the Cavern Club and before they broke through. Any video footage from the pre-fame era of any band from the 60s is just irreplacably priceless.

The Cavern Club was referred to as "The Cellar Full of Noise." LOT of great English groups played there.

NICE ONE!! THE NIGHT THIS WAS RECORDED ME AND MY MATE WERE WALKING DOWN LIME STREET IN LIVERPOOL, HANGING ABOUT, HAVING BUNKED OFF COLLEGE, AS WE DID MOST WEEKS TO GO TO THE LUNCHTIME SESSIONS AT THE CAVERN. AS WE WALKED ALONG A DARK BLUE EX AMBULANCE PULLED UP ALONG SIDE US AND ONE OF THE PASSENGERS ASKED FOR DIRECTIONS TO THE CAVERN. WE TOLD THEM HOW TO GET THERE. AT LUNCHTIME WE WENT DOWN THE CAVERN AND THE AMBULANCE WAS PARKED IN MATHEW STREET. THE KINKS WERE ON STAGE ~ IT WAS THEIR BUS!!

Come On Charles..0:16 they were as much a blues band ,as The Beatles were a blues band. And even if they were... they made some hard rockin'blues tunes on their first 3 albums.
