  • A shiny turd is still a turd

  • mazak is the best

  • I work with a Nexus QT 250. Just had a ? I use Surfcam Velocity 4 and also Mazatrol at the machine depending on the part. Mproblem is when I use a mcode befor and after the cut off for the partcatcher it will come up befor the previous tool goes to change point. This is a fast machine with quick spindle ramp up and down. the turret is easy to get straight after a crash.

  • I love machining brass...

  • THAT'S CORRECT!!!!!

  • Interesting,

I like this kind becuase, you see what one machine can do.

Can you post more of these kind of movies of CNC-machines of are there already a lot of thes on this website?

  • Here in Sweden a cnc programmer makes about 2500 - 3000 euro (each month) I would belive. But if you have your own company you could make much more.

  • Well, it depends but you can make a lot of money if you own the machine yourself. I bought a CNC - mill one year ago and there is much to learn. You just can't buy a machine and then think that you can operate it straight away, no chance. Before I bought my machine I also learned CAD/CAM for one year and that's the tricky part. If you master CAD/CAM fully then you can manufacture whatever you want.

  • Of course it's only a presentation video.

Besides, depending on the situation, money can be saved by using the same diameter stock for multiple parts. For example:

    1. Small quantity run, save money on spindle liners that you'd have to buy for odd sized bars.

    2. Small quantity run, same price/cheaper to buy a long length of one diameter than multiple short lengths.

    3. The material is cheap- 1018, 6061, etc.
