The Annual Sporting Clays Classic, benefitting The Children's Home, Inc. is the largest of its kind in the State of Florida. Honorary Chair General H. Norman Schwarzkopf explains why this event is so deserving of your support.
This year (2010) the event will be held on Saturday May 21, at the Tampa Bay Sporting Clays (under new management).
It is always a fun filled day of good food, good prizes and shooting of course, but this year there's more.
Leading up to the event, you will be able to go to the http://www.gunsinternational.com/ web site to bid at their auction, on a one of a kind Connecticut Shotgun, custom crafted collector's item. This hand crafted shotgun will be build just for this occasion to honor the General.

Now we know that you like to shoot at flying targets, but how about if they are self propelled, have wings and explode when you hit them?
This year there will be special guests form England flying their radio controlled flying target planes with exploding targets mounted under the wings.
The planes will be flying at the big event on Saturday for the "Sporting Clays Classic" for the participants, but Sunday will be open to the public to try your hand at setting off the exploding charges with five shots for $25, all for a great cause.

Then come back out on Sunday with your shotgun, your family and your friends, to Tampa Bay Sporting Clays for the "Gnat Shoot".
You are guaranteed to get a "BANG" out of this event!
